Department Member Res. Assist. Dr. Furkan Tüzün Presented at PVCON 2026

Department member, Res. Assis. Dr. Furkan Tüzün, presented his research titled "Development of a Photovoltaic Enabler Index (PVEI) and Its Effect on PV Adoption in Türkiye" at the "PVCON 2026 - 5th International Conference on Photovoltaic Science and Technologies" organized by METU GÜNAM between June 29 and July 1.

 

As part of our Seminar course, we gathered for the poster session held on Wednesday, May 20. During the event, our undergraduate students presented their graduation projects.

Department member Res. Assist. Dr. Furkan Tüzün presented his research titled "The Growth-Energy Nexus with a Spatial Focus: The Case of Türkiye" at the Spring Meeting of the Turkish Economic Association (SMTEA2026), held at Bilgi University between May 7-9, 2026.

 

The article titled “Ramadan Fasting and Work Performance: A Conceptual Framework” co-authored by our faculty member Prof. Zeynep Burcu Uğur and our PhD student Salma Abdellatef, has been published in "Journal of Management, Spirituality & Religion". Click here to access the article.

Our faculty member, Asst. Prof. Ayşenur Karakaş Aydınbakar, participated in the 3rd Efil Conference on Economics and Society. held at TOBB University of Economics and Technology on April 16-17, 2026.

As the Department of Economics at ASBÜ, we came together with our graduates from different cohorts and our esteemed faculty members at the Alumni Meeting on Saturday, 3rd of April. It was a wonderful time to look back on our shared history and talk about where we are headed next.

Our faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Seyid Fahri Mahmud, delivered a presentation titled "Financial–Macroeconomic Stability Trade-offs under Unorthodox Monetary Policy: Evidence from Türkiye" at the Strategic Research Center of Ostim Technical University on 2nd of April, 2026. 

Our faculty members, Asst. Prof. Ayşenur KARAKAŞ AYDINBAKAR, Res. Asst. Dr. Nilay YÖRÜK TORAMAN, and Res. Asst. Dr. Furkan TÜZÜN, participated in the 1st National Congress of the Women in Economics Initiative (İBKİ) held at the Middle East Technical University on March 16–17, 2026.

The article titled “The Cost of Children: Material and Social Deprivation among Divorced Women’s Households in Türkiye” by our faculty member Asst. Prof. Ayşenur Karakaş Aydınbakar, has been published in the “Women’s Studies International Forum”.

The article titled “From Cheating to Learning: AI Integration in Introductory Economics” co-authored by our faculty member Asst. Prof. Fatih Kırşanlı, has been published in the “Journal of Economics Teaching”.
