Our faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Seyid Fahri Mahmud, delivered a presentation titled "Financial–Macroeconomic Stability Trade-offs under Unorthodox Monetary Policy: Evidence from Türkiye" at the Strategic Research Center of Ostim Technical University on 2nd of April, 2026. 

Our faculty members, Asst. Prof. Ayşenur KARAKAŞ AYDINBAKAR, Res. Asst. Dr. Nilay YÖRÜK TORAMAN, and Res. Asst. Dr. Furkan TÜZÜN, participated in the 1st National Congress of the Women in Economics Initiative (İBKİ) held at the Middle East Technical University on March 16–17, 2026.

The article titled “The Cost of Children: Material and Social Deprivation among Divorced Women’s Households in Türkiye” by our faculty member Asst. Prof. Ayşenur Karakaş Aydınbakar, has been published in the “Women’s Studies International Forum”.

The article titled “From Cheating to Learning: AI Integration in Introductory Economics” co-authored by our faculty member Asst. Prof. Fatih Kırşanlı, has been published in the “Journal of Economics Teaching”.

The article titled “Did Public Firms Manage the COVID-19 Better? A Quasi-experimental Design for Non-financial Firms in Türkiye” co-authored by our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Seyid Fahri Mahmud, has been published in the “Central Bank Review”.

Our faculty member Prof. Seyithan Ahmet Ateş gave a seminar titled “From Client to Competitor: Understanding the Defence Manufacturing Ecosystem in Türkiye” as part of the Strategic Leadership Seminar Series held at the University of Oxford.

Our faculty members, Prof. Barış Alpaslan, Assoc. Prof. Zeynep Burcu Uğur, Assoc. Prof. Erkan Gürpınar, Assoc. Prof. Halis Kıral, Asst. Prof. Fatih Kırşanlı, and Res. Asst. Mevza Kurtulmuşlar, have been presented with certificate of appreciation at the 2025 ASBÜ Academic Awards for their valuable scientific work and academic activities. The certificates were presented to our esteemed faculty members by our Vice Rector, Prof. Yasin Söyler.

The article titled “Adaptive Political Economy of the Egyptian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)” by our faculty member Asst. Prof. Fatih Kırşanlı and Asst. Prof. Ömer Naim Küçük from the Department of International Relations at our university, has been published in the "Third World Quarterly".

The book chapter titled "Good Governance, Democracy, and Economic Resilience in the Gulf Region: A Post-Pandemic Analysis" by our faculty member, Asst. Prof. Fatih Kırşanlı, has been published.
